Whether you’ve spotted an interesting article, had a thought whilst travelling, or want to remember a future campaign, the Ideas Folder gives you one central place to store your inspiration.
Rather than losing ideas in notebooks, emails or voice memos, Social Hawk keeps everything together so you can turn those ideas into social media content whenever you’re ready.
Where can you find the Ideas Folder?
The Ideas Folder is located within the menu in the top right-hand corner of Social Hawk.
Open the menu and click Ideas Folder.
Inside, you’ll find Social Inspiration, which has been designed to capture ideas as they happen throughout your day.
What is Social Inspiration?
Social Inspiration is your personal library of future content ideas.
Use it whenever you come across something that would make a great social media post.
For example, you might want to save:
- An interesting article.
- A competitor’s campaign.
- Industry news.
- A customer success story.
- An idea that comes to mind whilst you’re travelling.
- A future marketing campaign.
The goal is simple. Capture the idea now and use it later when creating content.
How do you add a new idea?
Within Social Inspiration, click the large yellow Add Idea button.
You’ll then be given three ways to add your inspiration:
- Text.
- Voice Note.
- File Upload.
Choose whichever method is most convenient for you.
How do you save a text idea?
If your idea is already written down, select the Text option.
Give your idea a title and then type or paste your notes into the editor.
This is ideal for:
- Marketing ideas.
- Campaign concepts.
- Draft captions.
- Website links.
- Notes from meetings.
Once saved, the idea will be available for future content generation.
How do you record a voice note?
If inspiration strikes whilst you’re on the move, the Voice Note option is often the quickest solution.
Simply:
- Give your recording a title.
- Press the Record button.
- Speak naturally.
Social Hawk has been built using AI that learns and writes in your natural tone of voice.
Recording ideas in your own words helps preserve your personality and makes it easier for Social Hawk to create authentic content in the future.
Can you upload files?
Yes.
If your inspiration already exists as a document, you can upload it directly into the Ideas Folder.
Simply:
- Give the file a title.
- Select the file from your device.
- Upload it.
Social Hawk supports uploads of up to 25MB and accepts a variety of file types, including:
- PDF documents.
- Microsoft Word documents.
- Images.
- Other supported document formats.
This makes it easy to store research, presentations and reference material alongside your content ideas.
How do you use ideas when creating content?
Your saved ideas can be used whenever you generate social media content.
If you’re using Make an Announcement or the Custom Post Builder, navigate to the Topics section.
From there, select Ideas Folder.
You can then choose one of your saved ideas and include it within your new content.
This allows Social Hawk to build posts around the inspiration you’ve already collected.
