One of Social Hawk’s biggest strengths is its ability to create content that sounds like your business rather than generic AI.
During onboarding, Social Hawk learns about your company by analysing your website, researching your competitors and creating a Lexicon Voice Print. You can update these settings at any time to refine how your content is written.
How does Social Hawk learn your tone of voice?
During the onboarding process, Social Hawk builds your brand profile using three sources of information:
- Your website.
- Your competitors’ websites.
- Your Lexicon Voice Print.
Together, these help the platform understand your industry, your messaging and how your business naturally communicates with customers.
How do you change your tone of voice?
If you’d like to adjust how your content sounds, open the main menu and select Tone of Voice.
You’ll see a series of sliders that allow you to fine-tune your writing style.
Available controls include:
- Formal to Casual.
- Serious to Funny.
- Respectful to Irreverent.
- Matter of Fact to Enthusiastic.
As you move each slider, you’ll see example content update on the screen, helping you understand how the changes will affect future posts.
Once saved, these settings will be reflected in the content Social Hawk generates for you.
How do you update your Voice Print?
You can re-record your Lexicon Voice Print whenever you like.
Open the main menu and select Writing Style, followed by Voice Print.
Then click Re-record Voice Print to begin.
The platform will display a series of simple prompts, such as asking you to explain what your business does.
Simply press the record button and answer each prompt naturally.
What makes a good Voice Print?
The best Voice Prints sound exactly like you.
Don’t worry if you pause, make mistakes or need to correct yourself. Social Hawk is analysing your natural speaking style rather than looking for a perfect recording.
It’s also recommended that you avoid reading from an AI-generated script.
Instead, speak naturally, as though you’re talking to a customer or colleague. This gives Social Hawk a much better understanding of your authentic communication style.
Can you change the length of your posts?
Yes.
When reviewing individual posts before they’re generated, you can choose between three different content lengths:
- Small – approximately 50 to 150 words.
- Medium – approximately 150 to 300 words.
- Long – approximately 500 to 1,300 words.
By default, Social Hawk recommends the most suitable length for the platform you’ve selected. For example, shorter posts are generally better suited to Instagram, whilst longer posts often perform well on LinkedIn.
Why should your social media accounts be linked from your website?
Social Hawk analyses publicly available information to better understand your brand.
For the best results, ensure that your social media profiles are linked from your website’s home page.
This makes it easier for Social Hawk to discover your public social media presence and build a more complete picture of your brand, helping it generate content that is even more consistent with your existing style and messaging.
